Q1 of 2019 has come to an end. Below is a full report of CHAT's efforts in the community.
2018 was another great year where we have continued to experience enormous demand for all our services, especially Family Planning (FP). Our partnerships have grown stronger, allowing us to allocate Global Funds' resources to all the counties we support.

Healthy People, Healthy Ecosystems: A Manual on Integrating Health and Family Planning into Conservation Projects
The WWF published a PHE manual that outlines an approach that integrates health and voluntary family planning into conservation projects, developing synergies that improve the health of both people and ecosystems. The Africa Renewal information programme, produced by the Africa Section of the United Nations Department of Public Information, provides up-to-date information and analysis of the major economic and development challenges facing Africa today. In “SWAP KERJA", a Singaporean reality TV show, 8 Singaporeans from different professions are sent to different countries for a job swap challenge of their lifetimes.
In Season 2 Episode 8 of the show, Taufiq and NUH Emergency Doctor Zulkarnain work with CHAT relying on camels and land rovers to travel to the most remote villages in Kenya to work in our outreach programmes that bring PHE to Kenya's semi-nomadic tribes.

This year we've extended our partnership with AMREF with funds from Global Fund for TB interventions, in addition to a new partnership with AMREF in the Afya Timiza project in Samburu county, with support from USAID.
We look forward to further partnerships in implementing interventions with a focus on Population Health and Environment (PHE).

"CAMEL MOBILE, a video clip by ARD - a German TV channel, was aired on 30.04.2017, highlighting CHAT's camel mobile descending down into the Rift Valley behind Lake Bogoria reaching un-served communities with integrated health services using a PHE approach. The video can be viewed here.
